Michael Sherrod, student at Musicians Movement, Blue Springs, began formal studies at age 11. After missing the first year of band he was accepted to enter the program after 6 months of formal studies at the Musicians Movement, and a formal audition. As a freshman he was selected for the snare drum line at Blue Springs South High School. After graduation he plans to move to Branson Missouri to perform as a drummer and singer.

Former and current students were selected and assembled to represent the Musicians Movement during the 2012 holiday season "Heart of America" Christmas Pageant hosted by First Baptist Church in Raytown, Missouri. The "drum line" was directed by the owner and Curriculum director of the Musicians Movement, Mr. Daniel Reid. Over 20,000 audience members attended the event.
