Piano Lab I - designed for “first time” players who will develop basic music reading skills, basic music theory, fundamental playing technique, and simple playing enjoyment. This elective is an excellent choice as a “jump start” to any student interested in participating in public school instrumental music programs.  The lab comes equipped with the latest software aids designed to reinforce these basic concepts through entertaining age/skill appropriate activities.  Learners are supplied with full size, fully weighted 88 key Roland keyboards, a computer, monitor, headphones, and connection to the Yamaha MLA-100 conference system for communication with the instructor and other students. Certain activities and projects will promote students to work together.  Lab I participants will be encouraged but not required to participate in recital.  No pre-requisites required.

 Piano Lab II- designed for intermediate players developing advanced playing technique, traditional piano pedagogy, deeper knowledge of music theory, and stronger sight reading abilities.  Lab II learners will be required to begin and progress through 2-4 octave major and minor scales in all keys, and become more familiar with traditional literature.  The lab comes equipped with the latest software aids designed to reinforce advanced concepts and ear training through entertaining age/skill appropriate activities.  Learners are supplied with full size, fully weighted 88 key Roland keyboards, a computer, monitor, headphones, and connection to the Yamaha MLA-100 conference system for communication with the instructor and other students. Certain activities and projects will promote students to work together.  Lab I participants will be required to participate in recitals and public performance.  Pre-requisites include Piano Lab I which can be waived based on a learners former training.

Adult Piano Lab - designed for middle aged and senior music enthusiasts seeking a relaxed environment who are interested in piano as a hobby or form of personal entertainment.  Learners will develop basic music reading skills, music theory, playing technique, and simple playing enjoyment. The lab comes equipped with the latest software aids designed to reinforce these basic concepts through entertaining age/skill appropriate activities.  Learners are supplied with full size, fully weighted 88 key Roland keyboards, a computer, monitor, headphones, and connection to the Yamaha MLA-100 conference system for communication with the instructor and other students. Certain activities and projects will promote students to work together.  Lab I participants will be encouraged but not required to participate in recital.  No pre-requisite required.
